Bike Month Kick-off Party [4/28/24]

We’re taking over Aeronaut Brewery on Sunday April 28 for a bike party! Come join us (between 1-5 PM) for the return of the Bike Month Kick-off Event! Music, bikes, beer, advocacy, and a celebration of Bay State Bike Month- what could be better?

Hosted by MassBike, Somerville Bike Safety, Cambridge Bike Safety and the Somerville Bike Committee, we’ll be joined by over 35 local bike advocacy organizations and municipal and state agencies who will be sharing their ideas and energy for making bicycling better (and safer) in the Boston Metro region.

At 3pm, there will be a panel discussion entitled “The Intersection of Bikes and Businesses”, moderated by Willie Burnley, Somerville City Councilor. He’ll be joined by business leaders, bicycle advocates, and city leaders on the challenges and opportunities in working together on streetscape changes.

This event is kid friendly, there is delicious Venezuelan food by Carolicious, and there will be free bike valet.

Detailed schedule:

• 12-3 PM: Music by Hillbilly Holiday
• 1-3 PM: Tabling
• 3-4 PM: Panel Discussion (and Lifetime achievement award to Cara Seiderman)
• 4-5 PM: More tabling and a chance to chat with panelists
• 4-5:30 PM: Music by Lunatic Neighbor
