Bike-A-Thon: Training Rides

Join us at our group training rides this summer to prepare for the Bike-A-Thon!

We are excited to announce three group training rides to prepare for the 2024 Bike-A-Thon! Riders are welcome to register for one, two, or all three training rides. Mileage will increase with each ride over the summer to help you prepare for the longer routes!

Our group training rides are no-drop, meaning riders will not be left behind. However, we will be looking to split rides into groups based on speed and will need volunteers to help us lead and "sweep" separate groups. Check out our tentative dates below and stay tuned for final event details!

Tentative Schedule:

Tentative ride dates and distances for 2024:

  • Saturday June 23rd: 20 to 25 miles
  • Sunday July 14th: 35 miles
  • Sunday August 11th: 50 to 65 miles

Looking to help out with our rides? Reach out to Julia Karr if you're interested in helping lead or 'sweep' a training ride this summer - volunteers help make our training rides possible! Email for more information.

Full Group - BAT Training Ride 8-21-22

Our full group from the August training ride in 2022, who rode either 30 or 63 miles to practice for the Bike-A-Thon.

If you are looking for shorter rides, then we also invite you to our monthly Unity in Community ride series. These community-oriented events are open to all, combining a slower paced group ride with socializing, education, and community building. Please view our Events calendar for upcoming dates starting in April 2024!
