Thank you for joining Bikes Not Bombs Bike-A-Thon!
Thank you from all of us at Bikes Not Bombs for supporting our 39th annual Bike-A-Thon! We are so grateful for each and every rider, volunteer, youth apprentice, staff member, supporter, and community member who helped make the day such a successful event. Whether it was your first or 20th time at the “BAT”, we had a fabulous time spending the day with you. Because of your efforts, we were able to raise over $145,000 - and with even more donations still coming in!
We had 248 registered riders and 26 teams riding for change!
- 102 people tackled the 50 mile ride out to the Food Project’s Baker Bridge Farm;
- 99 people rode 25 miles on rolling hills in the Arboretum and along the Charles River;
- 47 people joined our classic Emerald Necklace 10 mile route, taking in some of the area’s best urban parks and biking paths.
101 volunteers supported all aspects of the event:
- Cleaning and organizing rest stop supplies to keep our riders fed and hydrated;
- Staffed rest stops in Franklin Park, Wellesley, and Lincoln;
- Supported riders with flat fixes, roadside assistance, and even some roadside yoga while fixing a flat on the 25 mile route
- Kept food and drinks replenished on the Field
- Carried, loaded, and unloaded dozens of boxes of supplies, tables, and chairs
- And much, much more!
