Chain Reaction @ Wake Up the Earth festival [5/4/24]

Does your bike need a little TLC? Need your bike adjusted or looked over, but at a location closer to you? Mark your calendars for our Chain Reaction events and come say hi to us at the Wake Up the Earth festival!

Chain Reaction is Bikes Not Bombs’ hallmark mobile bike repair, bringing much-needed bike services to our target communities in Boston. Our skilled staff and Youth Apprentices will be on site to offer free bike check-ups, or what we call the ABC-Q’s. While we can’t offer a full tune-up on the spot, we offer the following services at no cost:

• ABCQ’s: making sure your air, brakes, chain, and quick-release are all properly adjusted
• Brake & shifting adjustments
• Cleaning & lubricating chains
• Bike estimates
• Tube swaps and patch kits
• Cable swaps (depending on mechanic availability)
• Professional advice

Additional dates and locations for 2024 Chain Reaction include:

• City of Boston’s Bike to Work Day Festival, Friday May 17th
• At the Dorchester Food Coop: Saturdays May 18th, June 29th, July 20th, August 24th, and October 5th
• Dates for the Mattapan Farmers Market and the East Boston Farmers Market coming soon!
