Gratitude and Invitation: Shaping the Future of Biking in Boston!

Last month's Open House and Community Advisory Council (CAC) Info Session was a resounding success, and we at Bikes Not Bombs are overflowing with gratitude! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on March 26th to learn more about our BOCA (Bicyclists Organizing for Community Action) campaigns and how you can make a difference.

A special shoutout to our incredible community members: Sneha Adhikari, Bob Nesson, Maggie Cohn, Vivian Ortiz, Shavel’le Olivier, Rodney Eason, and Monty Khaldi. Your passion and commitment are truly inspiring. We're also deeply grateful to our dedicated Board members: Cynthia Perry, Jay Vilar, Khris Nicholas, Peter Cheung, and Lee Archung, for your unwavering support and guidance.

And to our amazing BNB staff—Antonio, Jesus, Chez, Wislem, Owen, Shaliya, Zyree, Eliana, Blisson, Sara Parra, and Joseph Pires—thank you for your hard work and dedication in making this event a success. We covered a lot of ground, from campaign overviews and CAC structure to interactive surveys and ecosystem mapping. It was truly a collaborative and insightful evening.

Want to get involved? Here's how:

  • Join our Community Advisory Council! If you're passionate about youth and transportation advocacy, we invite you to consider joining our CAC. This council will play a vital role in shaping the future of biking in Boston, ensuring equitable access and safety for all. Learn more about the CAC Charter and its purpose here.
  • Attend our Community Meeting on May 14th, 6-8 PM! This meeting is open to the PUBLIC—not just CAC applicants. We want to hear from everyone in the Greater Boston community, especially our fellow bike enthusiasts. Mark your calendars and join us to contribute to the conversation!
