Bikes Not Bombs simply couldn't function without our tremendous volunteer support! Volunteers earn credit by the hour, which can be cashed in for used parts, frames, or even whole bikes.

 Every year in June our Bike-A-Thon engages over 100 volunteers! We need people to do all sorts of things like riding along the route, setting up tents, selling raffle tickets, taking pictures, and much much more! Volunteering for this big event is a fun way to get involved and meet other people who support the work of Bikes Not Bombs. |
 International Bike Shipments
Come help load a 40-foot container with bicycles and parts to send overseas. Nine or ten times a year we bring in lots of volunteers for most of a weekend day to do this. Here are the upcoming container loadings: |
 We'll give you a full course in bike mechanics, and then you will help teach young people to rebuild and earn a bike to be their own! Go on fun rides and teach about safe riding and social justice issues. Female and male volunteers needed! |
 Community Outreach
Choose some shops and community/social centers in your neighborhood, or places at your school, and put up posters and drop off newsletters or brochures for our Bike-A-Thon, youth programs, or special events! Email jeremy@bikesnotbombs.org, or call 617-522-0222 to be added to our list of outreach volunteers. |
 Organize a local bike collection in your neighborhood through your school, community group, church, or family! When you do the outreach to bring the bike donors to your drive, we'll send a trained BNB volunteer with a big truck to come pick them all up. |

Office Volunteering
Help us send letters to our supporters and record information in our database. Help with mailings, do web research, and take on some data entry and other tasks as needed. Daytime to early evening hours during the week. Contact Jeremy Hanson at jeremy@bikesnotbombs.org or 617-522-0222. |

Van and Truck Drivers
We need experienced drivers who will pick up bikes from donors on a very occasional basis and bring them to us. Every spring and fall we collect bikes at drives throughout the state, and helping run these drives and pick up the bikes in a BNB truck is a great way to support our work.
