Summer Sessions

June 5th - July 14th
July 24th - August 18th

All sessions have class Monday - Friday 8:30am - 12pm and 1:30pm - 4:30pm.

Bikes Not Bombs' long-term partner Bici-Tec has opened applications for the summer 2017 term of the School of Appropriate Bici-Technology (SAB).  At the school students will deepen their understanding of the challenges faced by rural families, the theory and application of appropriate technology, and the design and fabrication of bicimáquinas (pedal-powered machines), as environmentally sustainable, labor-saving solutions.

SAB brings together international and local students from the Global South and Global North to develop experiential skills in designing, fabricating and applying bici-technology, so they can spread this technology in their own communities.

Both Beginner and Intermediate sessions are available this summer.  The Beginner Session is for students with no previous bicycle mechanics, metal working and/or machine design experience while the Intermediate Session is for students with some previous experience.

More information and applications for both sessions are available online.  Additional questions can be directed to or check out the FAQs.
