Bike Shop closed on Saturday, June 27, 2020 in support of "The Ride for Black Lives"

The Bike Shop will be closed all day Saturday, June 27, 2020.

As a sponsor of The Ride for Black Lives, this closure will allow all staff, customers, and partners of Bikes Not Bombs to come together and participate. We hope to see you there!





The Ride for Black Lives is a bike ride in solidarity with the fight against systems and acts of oppression, police brutality against, criminal injustice system against, and murder of Black people, including and especially LGBTQ+' disabled, and poor folks.

This is Black-led and Black-centered solidarity ride co-organized by Boston Bike Party and Black Boston Bike Party members, organizers, businesses, and activists.

Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, welcome.

- Wear a black shirt to show solidarity and support for ALL Black lives
- When: Saturday June 27
- Time: 11:30am Meet, 12:00pm Start
- Where: Meet at White Stadium in Franklin Park
- FAMILY FRIENDLY SHORT ROUTE OPTION: Begins in Franklin Park Playstead Field and ends back at White Stadium in Franklin park (~4.5 miles total)
- LONG ROUTE OPTION: Continues riding after short route and ends in Nubian Square (~10miles total)

Black community members and allies will share a few brief words with riders, and the ride will roll through Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods and past meaningful Black monuments.

The entire ride is 10 miles total with 1 stop. Riders can drop off from the ride when we return to Playstead if they do not wish to continue on the longer route.

- Mask up
- Stay socially distance, 6 feet away from others during meetup and the ride
- Use hand sanitizer and wash your hands
