Bikes Not Bombs is participating in JP Open Studios, an annual celebration of the arts in Jamaica Plain.  We are converting our Hub into a gallery featuring bicycle-themed art or art that highlights an aspect of Bikes Not Bombs’ mission, history, or programs. The hub will be open all weekend with arts and crafts projects for youth and a silent auction to benefit Bikes Not Bombs’ bicycle-based work. Stop by on Saturday from noon -3pm for an Open House and a chance to learn more about our work, chat with staff and board members,  and make pedal powered smoothies. On Saturday at 12:30pm sharp, we'll be releasing our brand new film about the Village Health Worker Mobility Project in Northern Uganda (trailer below), followed by a Q&A with David Branigan, the film's producer and our Director of International Programs. Come out and hear about the context, challanges, and innovation solutions that are driving (biking!) this project forward.
