What's a container loading?

When we ship bikes overseas through our International Programs, we have to pack them into a huge sea freight container as tightly as possible. With careful packing we're able to fit up to 500 bikes (plus parts) in one container, but this is no easy feat! We need all the volunteer help we can get, so this is where you come in! Helping out at a container loading is hard work, but very rewarding. You'll meet new folks and feel great knowing that your energy is helping bring affordable transportation and economic development to communities in need.

Let us know you're coming!

RSVP for this Loading
Thanks for registering. This is very helpful for us to know how many people to expect. We will see you soon!

Attending this loading

There is a PRE-LOAD on Saturday 10am-2pm and a MAIN Container Loading Sunday 9am-5pm. If registering, please indicate which one you plan to attend, and register for each date separately if you plan to attend both. Thanks!

The event is RAIN or SHINE.

  • Volunteer for the whole day or help out for an hour – we'd love to see you!
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided on MAIN Container Loading day.
  • The warehouse does not have heat or A/C and will be open to the air, so bring weather appropriate clothing.
  • Also bring a pair of work gloves, or something similar, if you have them because you will be carrying a lot of old dusty bikes.

Where to show up

Come to our warehouse at:
10 Harvard Street, Dorchester, MA

The warehouse is about a 10 minute walk from the Fields Corner T-Stop.
