Youth Apprentice applications are open for the Summer 2025 cohort!

Applications are currently open for our Summer 2025 cohort of Youth Apprentices!

We hire youth and young adults to work as paid Youth Apprentices, who receive hands-on training in bike mechanics, entrepreneurship, and career development. Youth Apprentices will spend the summer engaging in career development workshops and working to advance Bikes Not Bombs's transportation equity initiatives.

How to Apply
Our Summer Entry cohort offers an excellent opportunity for youth to begin their journey at BNB as Youth Apprentices, including the possibility of employment beyond the summer.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be aged 14-18 during the employment period
  • Must be a full-time resident of the City of Boston
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Available to work 25 hours per week between late June and end of August
    • Note: eligible youth selected as Leaders may work up to 30 hours per week
