Joining a coalition of youth and community organizations, Bikes Not Bombs is urging members and supporters to push the state legislature to act now and clean up the electricity grid within 10 years while calling on Congress to immediately enact clean energy jobs legislation that puts a price on carbon pollution. The coalition aims to do this by saving 100,000 kWh by the 40th Earth Day on April 22nd, 2010 through home energy-efficiency retrofits, which will offset the electric demand of Beacon Hill!

Anyone who signs up to retrofit their home through www.CommonwealthChallenge.org and/or track their energy usage via the tools on the website will count towards our overall 100,000 kWh goal, so sign up today and start saving energy!
