Youth Programs Interns Wanted!


Bikes Not Bombs seeks both an Administrative Intern and an Environmental Curriculum Development Intern. Descriptions below:


Youth Programs Administrative Intern
10-15 hours per week from January to March. This position will primarily help with administrative tasks, specifically focusing on systems to maintain our database.  Prior experience in data entry/management is helpful but not required. Work with an exciting team in a vibrant youth space!
 
Primary responsibilities will include:

-Implementation of proposed enhancements to current database
-Data Entry
-Outreach for 2010 Spring Earn-A-Bike program (may include event tabling and classroom visits)
-Assistance with mailings
-Other administrative tasks, as necessary

Youth Programs Environmental Curriculum Development Intern
10-15 hours per week from January to March (and maybe through the rest of the semester). The Environmental Curriculum Intern will work with youth programs staff and youth to enhance the environmental focus within BNB's Earn-A-Bike and Girls in Action Curriculum.

Primary responsibilities will include:

- Evaluation of current environmental curriculum
- Development of curriculum improvements/enhancements
- Creation of Activity Materials
- Documentation/'Packaging' of curriculum for program use

Other responsibilities may include:

- Program outreach for Spring Earn-A-Bike in March
- Development of Outreach Materials
- Other administrative tasks, as necessary
