International Day of Climate Action with 350 Campaign & Bike Ride to Boston Underwater Festival

On October 24th many many thousands of people around the globe are participating in public actions to send the biggest public message yet to global leaders in advance of the Copenhagen climate talks. This effort is coordinated by Bill McKibben and the 350 Campaign. Bikes Not Bombs will be participating in some actions near us, and we invite you all to join in!
1) The Mission Hill Energy Fair will be on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The fair runs from 10 am til 2 pm. See http://bostoncan.wordpress.com/events/
2) BIKE RIDE to the Boston Under Water Festival! The Mission Hill Energy Fair will be followed by a Stop Asthma – Stop Global Warming Ride by bike and the Orange Line to the Boston Under Water Festival. Assemble at the Mission Hill School (67 Alleghany St., near Roxbury Crossing T station) at 1:30 for a Rally with Climate Change Theatre. 3) Boston Underwater Festival (http://www.bostonunderwater.org)
A regional tongue-in-cheek creative event calling on world leaders to do the right thing at the December Copenhagen Climate Talks. This festival is Sat. Oct. 24th, 3:00pm to 5:30pm with a Group PHOTO at 3:50pm. At the CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS PARK (Aquarium T stop). Wear blue and/or dress in underwater costume! Ride your bike, ride the T with a group from your community!
