Container loading date changed to Sunday, May 24th! from 10:30 AM to approx 4 PM (when we finish)

Please note that Bikes Not Bombs has changed the container loading date from May 17th to Sunday May 24th. This shipment will supply the Maya Pedal organization with bicycles and parts with which to build their famous pedal-powered appropriate technology machines that pump water, shell and grind grains and do a host of other functions that are time consuming, back breaking and costly to many Guatemalans that live without means of affording motorized machinery.

We will start Sunday AM at 10:30 and we’ll take a break around 1pm for a pizza lunch (provided) and a short talk about the Maya Pedal project. Volunteers can come for any part of this time that works for you. Experience not required. We'll be moving, sorting, and loading bikes, wheels, and spare parts. You may wish to bring work gloves.
