BIKE DRIVE FOR BIKES NOT BOMBS & BIKE RIDE IN IPSWICH

Explore a 25 or 50-mile bike route through scenic Ipswich and Essex County. This ride around historic Cape Ann supports Cuvilly Arts & Earth Center’s environmental education programs. Founded in 1983, Cuvilly is located on 15 acres of woodlands, fields, organic vegetable gardens and animal pastures. Programs are designed to teach children, teens and adults how to live in harmony with nature through biking, gardening, canning locally produced fruits and vegetables and conserving energy. In addition to raising funds for Cuvilly, the event will be a bike drive for Bikes Not Bombs. Riders and non-riders alike are encouraged to clean out their garages and sheds for unwanted bicycles that can be donated and given a new life in BNB’s local youth programs, international development projects or bike shop.

BIKE DONORS!
Bikes may be brought to donate anytime from 8am to 12 noon. We suggest at $10 donation with a bike to help with costs of shipping overseas or getting into a new life in youth programs in Boston, but will accept bikes without this donation.

RIDERS!
Riders are encouraged to pre-register at http://www.cuvilly.org. Walk-ins are also welcome. The event is September 25, 2010, rain or shine. Check-in begins at 7am and rides depart at 8am.
