Reconditioned used bicycles

Here at the Bikes Not Bombs Bike Shop, we specialize in recycled bikes that are ready for many more years of service as your daily ride. What does reconditioned mean to us? All of our bikes get overhauled from top to bottom. Each bike is stripped down to just the frame, and rebuilt using a mixture of new and overhauled used parts. All of our bikes get brand new wheels, tires, tubes, chains, freewheels or cassettes, and cables and housing. Most get new seatposts and seats, shifters and many get new cranksets and derailleurs. Prices begin at $340.

All of our reconditioned bikes come with a 90-day mechanical guarantee on parts and labor, are entitled to a free 30-day tune-up, and a year-long 10% discount on new parts and accessories you buy in the shop. All bike sales are final.

Single and Three Speed Cruisers
If you're looking for a comfortable and more upright city cruiser, the Linuses might be just for you. The Linus Roadster Classic is a handsome single speed cruiser with front caliper brake and rear coaster brake. The Linus Roadster Sport and Linus Mixte 3 are both classic looking cruisers with internally geared three speed hubs. These two models come prepared with full fenders and racks!

Comfort/City Hybrid Bikes
The Bianchi Cortina (and Cortina Dama) and Bianchi Torino (and Torino Dama) are great options for those looking for a sturdy city bike with a more upright riding position. These hybrid models have wider, but low-tread, tires and plenty of room for fenders and a rack.

Cyclocross/Road/Touring Bikes
For those looking for a good all-arounder, the Bianchi Volpe and Surly Cross-Check are both terrific choices. Originally billed as cyclocross bikes, these both make great commuters as well as longer distance road bikes. The Volpe comes stock with a triple crankset and 10 speed STI shifters. The Cross-Check has a double crankset, with the option of upgrading to a triple, and 9 speed bar-end shifters. Both frames have cantilever brakes with ample room for fat tires, fenders, and plenty of racks.
